UNDERSTANDING HINDUPHOBIA 2025 | HINDUPHOBIA THROUGH ERASURE

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2025 | 10 AM - 7 PM ET

The theme for Understanding Hinduphobia 2025 is Hinduphobia through Erasure. Presentations will focus on documenting Hinduphobia that manifests as erasure - in academia, curriculum, all types of media, and the public consciousness. As a community, Hindus struggle with articulating and gaining recognition for the erasure of our history, our civilizational contributions, and even our documented persecution - both historical and contemporary. The goal of UH 2025 is to wrestle with and offer insights into how we can effectively and rigorously measure, record, and articulate erasure.

How does the erasure of knowledge and struggle feed bias, hatred, and fear? How is this erasure justified? How do these erasures impact Hindus and the people around us?

As always, we have invited speakers from other communities to share insights, stories, and evidence that connect their communities with the conference theme.

UH 2025 WILL BE CO-HOSTED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, DALLAS CHAPTER OF HINDU YUVA.
